Norwoods Golf Club opened for buisness in the spring of 1996. Norwoods is an 18 hole, par 72 layout designed and built by Tracy and Brian Scott along with their father Cecil (Norwoods) Scott. The golf course rests on 160 acres and was built in two stages. Nine holes were built in 1995 and opened in May of 1996. Nine holes were added the following year making Norwoods Hannibals only 18 hole facility. The tees and fairways are bluegrass and rye, and the greens are bentgrass. The tees, fairways, and greens are all irrigated from a 13 acre lake that runs the length of the par 5 , 18th hole. Norwoods offers 4 sets of tees ranging from 4779 yards and stretching to 6629 yards. With a centraly located clubhouse (which consists of a stocked pro shop and concession stand), 300 yard driving range, and a well maintained fleet of 60 golf cars, we feel Norwoods Golf Club meets all the needs for an enjoyable round of golf.
